Unscripted Sketches #162

Once again I am combining the Sketch from Unscripted Sketches with CSI Color... Stories... Inspiration.  I love the sketches at US - they lend themselves to a small layout or a card.  I am trying to take some of my favorite older pics and do 6 x 6 layouts.  I love to work on the smaller scale and these sketches and the CSI inspiration are perfect together!!

Today I made a layout of two photos that I love taken on the 4th of July, 1992.  Scott had been "upset" about something and my husband just threw him over his shoulder to go have a talk.  The emotions were short lived and the day went on with smiles.  I love the back drop of the flag.  We had so many great pool parties on the 4th of July at my Aunt Grace's house.  Great memories!!
My DP is from CSI Coordinates.  The ribbon, brad and stars (colored with Copics) are CtMH.

Thanks so much for visiting!!

  4. Love how you have used the sketch for a layout. I love the photo of your son over your husbands shoulder. I love to document the everyday and this is just such a wonderful story that would otherwise be forgotton. Memory keeping isn't always but the good stuff. Thanks so much for sharing the story behind the layout, love it. Thanks for joining us at Unscripted Sketches.
