Wishing You...

Tonight I made a card for my birthday card stash.  The card measures 4.25" x 5.5".  A CAS style - the DP is from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found - Market Street.  The tan CS is from my stash.  The sentiment (a very Happy Birthday on the inside) is from Verve.  The pink "ribbon" flower and pearls are from Close to My Heart.

I am entering this card in the following Challenges:

Card Positioning Systems - Sketch
CR84FN - Colors Pink, Tan, Natural
CASual Friday - Clean & Simple with Pink

Thanks for visiting!!

Opposites Attract...

The first card Challenge I did tonight was CAS-ual Friday.  The card was to feature two colors - opposite from each other on the chart - I chose to work with light blue and mustard yellow.  I had the perfect papers in my scraps to make it work.  I split the card diagonally and used a retired stamp set from Close to My Heart.  One of the papers had a light blue background with some wonderful Sunflowers.  The other paper is a mustard yellow gingham.  I also had a piece of mustard yellow polka dot ribbon to finish it off.

Name that Tune...

This week's Challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays is to come up with a card based on a song!  What fun!!  The song I chose is Somewhere Over the Rainbow.  I used CS from my scraps and the Close to My Heart stamp set "Nothing but Blue Skies" stamped with CtMH inks.

Enjoy your weekend everyone!!

CAS-ual Friday #45

Last Post for today... (actually it's tomorrow)...  CAS-ual Friday always has a great Challenge.  This week it's The BOLD and the Beautiful.  We are to keep it Clean and Simple and use Pastels and Black.  In my stash of Close to My Heart stamp sets, I came across a "Princess" or "Fairy Godmother" wand and I decided to work with that.  I stamped it with Black and colored it in with Pale Yellow and Purple.  The Card Stock and Paper are also CtMH.

Thanks for stopping by!
I wish you all kinds of happiness!

Sorry you are hurting...

I love Mo's Digital Pencil images.  This little girl is so precious I couldn't resist her.  CAS-ual Friday has a Challenge this week It's easy as 1-2-3.
1 - a pattern
2 - an image
3 - a sentiment

I went with a sketch from a Challenge I have not done before, Card Patterns Sketch Blog.  Seemed to make sense.  #1 - check!  My image was easy Sorry Shanna from Mo's.  #2 - check!  The sentiment sorry you are hurting is from Verve.  #3 - check.

I flipped the sketch on it's side.  The papers are single sheets purchased at the local craft store.  I no longer remember the make but I do LOVE the spring colors.  I used right pink polka dot grosgrain ribbon and tied it in a bow.  The image is attached with pop dots.

Thanks so much for visiting.  Time now to turn in...

For Sentimental Reasons

Just one card before I go to bed...  Over at the CAS-ual Friday Blog, the challenge this week is to keep it Clean And Simple with the Sentiment as the focal point.  I needed a masculine Birthday card and this seemed to be just the right Challenge to do this Saturday night!

I used all Close to My Heart products, paper, card stock, stamp and ribbon.  The Sentiment:  CELEBRATE It's Your Day.

Hope you are having a great weekend.  I spent a good part of today with my friend Juanita down on Cape Cod - one of my most favorite places here on Earth...  AND went to one of my most favorite Coffee Shops - The Daily Brew in Cataumet.  The day started out with snow and ended with sun shine - lots of coffee, laughs, and sunshine - a perfect day.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

Jest for the PUN of it!!

It's a CAS-ual Friday and this week's CFC41 Challenge is to keep it "Clean And Simple" and use a Pun - so... PUN intended!!

I will keep this post Quick and Simple as I need to head out to work - couldn't wait to make this card though (while having my first cup of coffee of course =)...

I layered Chocolate and Desert Sand cardstock with a scrap of a cute chocolate and blue polka dot paper from the pack Winter Wonderland.  I colored in a cute Digi (Coffee Beans from Rhoda Design Studio) with a Chocolate marker.

So... How've you bean???
Thanks for stopping by - have a GrEaT Friday!!

Another Window Card...

This week's CAS-ual Friday's Challenge is Clean and Simple Paper Piecing...  So, I opted to do one more window card (seeing as I LOVE windows and all...) AND there is certainly paper piecing involved!!

I used the Close to My Heart Splendor paper pack again.  The papers in this pack are just perfect. The flower stamps are from the CtMH stamp set C1407 Hot Diggity with blue Itty Bitty Brads in the centers and the sentiment is from D1467 Trees & Things.  It'sbeen such a gloomy dreary day in New England, and I've been home with a lousy cold creating with these papers that are screaming SPRING is coming has been a JOY!!

Black & White

While "Blog" hopping on my lunch break, I happened upon another weekly challenge - CASual Fridays! Here are the rules for this week:

CFC36: Create a Clean And Simple Project that is only black and white.
*no other colors will be allowed-not even a speck*

I was immediately intrigued and thought the stamp set D1373 Childhood Portrait would be perfect for just such a challenge.  Products used are simply Close to My Heart Black and white card stock, Black ink and White Bitty Brads.
