Sweet Sketch Wednesday and Digi Stamp Boutique

Hi friends - I have to say that I am excited!!  Not just because it's time for another Sketch Challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday, but, because here I live in Cranberry Country and for the last several years I have been wanting to see a Bog being harvested...  and this is the year!!  I've been scouting out the bogs and finally saw one this weekend.  It's an event that literally takes place in one day.  When they flood the bog, it is such a pretty sight.  The only thing that would have been better would be if the sun had cooperated...

I just Love Fall in New England =)

Sweet Sketch Wednesday... It's a Boy!!

Welcome Wednesday!!  This week I have been working on a Quilt for my Grandson due to arrive in January, along with knitting a blanket and a sweater...  I guess you could say I am "Grandma Nesting"...  When I saw this sweet image over at our Sponsor's shop - Digi Stamp Boutique - I knew for this week's Challenge I just had to make a card for my Sweet Daughter-in-law Marisa!!

It's Wednesday!!

Happy Wednesday friends!!  I hope you are having a great week!! My husband and I are spending a few weeks at our family Beach House on Cape Cod.  The evenings are getting a bit cooler (which I LOVE) and the days are warm.  I've been thinking about how our family is growing, a son-in-law last weekend and a Grandson due to arrive in January.  I've got babies on my mind and decided to use this adorable image from our faithful Sponsor - Sally Ann Hancock of Digi Stamp Boutique!!  We appreciate her so much!!  Head on over to check our her images, this week's Winner will receive 6 Free images!!  Very cool!!

Welcome Wednesday!!

It's Wednesday once again!!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I so enjoyed my family's Father's Day gathering and thought I'd share a few pictures...  I think there were 57 of us this year.  The "oldest" being my Aunt Grace (I'll keep her age a secret ;-) and the youngest my Great Niece Micaela Grace, just 4 weeks old.  Sweet picture of the two of them...  Lots of time was spent at the Beach Front -I love this picture on the Beach Wall.  Father's Day is a time when many reconnect and share what is going on in their lives, and a time for siblings to gather as distance keeps them apart more than they would like.    .

                   

A tradition for more than 30 years is a picture on the porch steps of the Next Generation of "Smiths".  This pic is of my parents Great Grandchildren - oh how they would enjoy them...       

I'm still waiting for my Grandchildren to come along and join in this Father's Day tradition!!

It's Wednesday again - YAY!!  Time for a new Sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday!!  Before I share the Sketch and my card, I wanted to show a few pics of my favorite walking spot.  It is one town over and a home for some farm animals, a Resource for local school children to hike and experience nature and a great place to walk.  These last few mornings have been perfect walking weather.  Cool, crisp air, beautiful blue skies and everything is coming to life...  Today I even saw a White Tail Deer, of course once it spotted me, it high tailed it back into the woods.

Wanted to post this card I made and wish you all a Happy Valentine's Day!!  The Digi stamp is from the Louie Love Set from the Digi Stamp Boutique.  Sally Ann has so many wonderful Digi Stamps in her shop!!  You can check them out HERE 

I colored Louie in with my Copics and chose papers from Authentique.  The corner embellishments are CtMH from my stash!!

The Nativity

Just wanted to share this Nativity wall hanging I made for Christmas gifts this year. I actually made 6 of them and have had requests for next year. I got the idea off of Pinterest and then changed it up a bit.

 

 The images are from the Digi Stamp Boutique - Cute Nativity Set 2 .  I colored them up with Copics and added some Silver Stickles to the stars and Wise Men crowns and gifts.  I chose coordinating papers and mounted them all to 6" x 6" cork tiles.  The three squares are attached with staples and Tacky Glue to Burlap ribbon (Close to My Heart) with a Bow attached at the top.

 

I am entering this Project in the Digi Stamp Boutique December Challenge.
