Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog has a timely theme this week - "Here Comes Summer".  When I think of Summer I think of two things...  a slower pace (at least I had a slower pace when I was a kid...  lots of time laying in the grass looking at the clouds...) AND I think of my dog Summer =)  So, Sassy Cheryl's image "A Penny for Your Thoughts" with Sally and her dog Bella was the perfect image for the Challenge!

I used some long retired paper from Close to My Heart along with ribbon and a button from my stash.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches, and the image is colored with Copics then fussy cut and mounted with pop dots.
I'm also entering this card in the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 187.

After a very warm day in the high 80's with humidity in the forecast for the next few days... Summer is definitely here!

Thanks so much for visiting!!
Blessings to you!!

Smell the Roses...

Time for Team B to send out some inspiration for the latest Challenge "Smell the Roses" over at Tuesday Throwdown.  We are Sponsored this week by Pink Cat Studio.  We were given the cutest images to use!!  I chose Lily Sunshine Fairy, how cute is she??  I used an old favorite paper pad that only had a few sheets left... even the cover was gone.  I chose bright colors and colored Lily in with my  Copics.  Added some ribbon and some sparkle, cut out the image and mounted her with Pop Dots.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

I used the Sketch over at Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge:

I do hope you will head on over to Tuesday Throwdown and check out the rest of Team B's cards.  Oh, and speaking of Team B - WAY TO GO BRUINS!!!  Sorry for the diversion, but the Bruins just too Game 7 in over time 5-4 after being down by 3 goals!!!  Awesome!!!

Now back to our regularly scheduled program...  Do check out Team B's cards by clicking HERE.

I hope you will be inspired to play along with us...  Can't wait to see your creations!!

Blessings to you!!
