Sweet Sketch Wednesday 209

Welcome Friends!!  The first Wednesday in June...  Can you believe it!?!?!  Summer is almost here...  We had a mini heat wave with temps in the 90's this past weekend.  I was so thankful to have my Saturday free.  I had some reading to do and wanted out of the house, so I drove to the Cape and it was a good 20 degrees cooler!!  I actually needed a sweatshirt in the shade - sweatshirt weather is my kind of weather!!  Wonderful reading with the ocean breeze...

One of my Great Neices is celebrating her 9th birthday this week.  She is an amazing soccer player so I chose this image from Mel Jen's Designs and am entering it in their Anything Goes Challenge.  The Sketch is from Deconstructed Sketches.  The paper is from a new pad I recently picked up, Amy Tangerine - from American Crafts.  I love, love, love the bright colors and fun designs!!  Perfect for a young girl's birthday card!!  The image is colored with Copics.  The buttons and ribbon are from my stash.

Meljen's Design

Today I made a birthday card for my stash =)  I chose the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday - I love their Challenges.  The sponsor this week is Meljen's Design.

Today has been a rainy Saturday here in Massachusetts.  A great day for errands (when they include the local craft store) and crafting.  Even have some Beef Stew cooking =)

I picked up some 6x6 Paper Pads today - love having new paper to work with!!  I used CS from Close to My Heart and new paper from My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose - Mabel.  I love the colors in the Paper Pad!!  The ribbon, button and charm are from my stash.

Time to get back to the kitchen.  Hope you are all having a great weekend!!

The SkEtChY Challenge

I found this fun Sketch over at The Sketchy Challenges Blog.  I made this card for a friend who is having a bit of a rough time.  When I bought this paper, I immediately thought of her!!  The papers are Recollections single sheets I picked up at Michael's.  The ribbon, buttons and flowers are all from my stash.  The image is from Designed 2 Delight colored in with Copics.  Their Challenge this week is to add something that glitters, shimmers or shines.  The buttons fit that bill =) they are a retired item from Close to My Heart and I must say I will be sad when I run out - LOVE them!!  Oh, and I almost forgot, I also am entering this card in City Crafter Challenge - a Rose is a Rose =)
