Sketch Saturday

I used the Sketch from the latest Sketch Saturday Challenge to create these two cards using the same image from Sassy Cheryl's - Winter Social.  How cute is Sassy Sally sitting in that tree with her little bird friends...!  I love seeing identical cards in two totally different color combinations.  Totally changes the card!!

Here is the Sketch:

Thanks so much for visiting - Wishing you all a Safe and Happy New Year's celebration!!
Welcome 2013!!

Retro Sketches

I needed a few Masculine Birthday cards this weekend...  Started off with this cute owl image from MelJen's Design.  I used the Sketch from the Challenge over at Retro Sketches and rotated it 90 degrees.  The papers and ribbon are from my stash.  The button and black hemp are Close to My Heart.

I Love Snowmen!!!

Who doesn't love Snowmen??  They are a favorite of mine in these Winter months.  So far, we haven't had enough snow in my neck of the woods...  but, I am sure we will before this season is over...  I shall patiently await their arrival...

In the meantime, I made this cute Winter Birthday card using a Snowman image "Hangin' With Friends" I picked up over at Sassy Cheryl's.  I used the Sketch from this week's Challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.  The image is colored with Copics and the paper, button and black hemp are all from my Stash.  The Challenge at Sassy Cheryl's is "We Love Snowmen!!!".

Oops!!!  Too late for the Challenges...

The Nativity

Just wanted to share this Nativity wall hanging I made for Christmas gifts this year. I actually made 6 of them and have had requests for next year. I got the idea off of Pinterest and then changed it up a bit.

The images are from the Digi Stamp Boutique - Cute Nativity Set 2 .  I colored them up with Copics and added some Silver Stickles to the stars and Wise Men crowns and gifts.  I chose coordinating papers and mounted them all to 6" x 6" cork tiles.  The three squares are attached with staples and Tacky Glue to Burlap ribbon (Close to My Heart) with a Bow attached at the top.

I am entering this Project in the Digi Stamp Boutique December Challenge.

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and I am wishing you a New Year filled with many Blessings!!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday #186

Welcome Friends - Another Sweet Sketch Wednesday is here!!  I hope you all had a wonder-filled Christmas with family and friends.  I love attending our Christmas Eve service.  We then attend a Swedish Smorgasbord at my sister's, Santa came to her house - I love to see the excitement in the eyes of the children!!  My Christmas morning was a little quiet this year.  My husband had to work, my "kids" are grown and on their own...  but I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed Christmas!  A quiet start to the day with my two Boxers, my Bible, quiet meditation, then coffee with my daughter and her Fiancee!!  I was so excited to get a call from my daughter who just got engaged!!

Christmas Day ended with my family around the table for a nice Dinner.
This week we are Sponsored by...
Jodie and Bugaboo Stamps!!!

Everything That You Ever Wanted to Know About Bugaboo Stamps: As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects. Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!
If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps stamps at Totally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug.
