Opposites Attract...
The first card Challenge I did tonight was CAS-ual Friday. The card was to feature two colors - opposite from each other on the chart - I chose to work with light blue and mustard yellow. I had the perfect papers in my scraps to make it work. I split the card diagonally and used a retired stamp set from Close to My Heart. One of the papers had a light blue background with some wonderful Sunflowers. The other paper is a mustard yellow gingham. I also had a piece of mustard yellow polka dot ribbon to finish it off.

Happy Birthday sweet Lily!
I used the sketch from Card Patterns Challenge this week - it was the perfect fit!! I also took the colors from CR84FN Color Challenge. The papers are from the s.e.i. Vanilla Sunshine 6 x 6 pad and the DCWV Old World Mat Stack. I need to hunt down where I found the sweet image... once I do, I will update!! She is colored in with Copic Markers. The ribbons and round sparkles are Close to My Heart.

If you would, please say a prayer for Lily and her family - God knows the details!! Thanks so much!!

Life is Good!

Wanted to do a color challenge tonight and chose the first one I went to... The Play Date Cafe. The image I wanted to use was fairly large, so I needed a square sketch and went with my favorite Sweet Sketch Wednesday. The image is a Mo Manning. Mo's Digital Challenge this week is anything goes!! So this card will go in the three Challenges.
The papers are s.e.i. Vanilla Sunshine 6 x 6 Pad. The sentiment is Close to My Heart from the stamp set Tree Top. The btads and button are also CtMH and the ribbons are from my stash. The image "Maya" is colored in with Copic Markers.
Have a great week!!
Hat's Off to You...

The papers are a mix of Recollections - Black & White Pad, Crate Paper - Pretty Party 6 x 6 Pad, DCWV - Old World Mat Stack, Close to My Heart - Smokey Plum CS, Stamps - Lili of the Valley Set 1 Oh So Girlie, CtMH Pearl Opaques.

Easter Wishes
Easter is upon us!! I found a cute image at Designed 2 Delight that I thought would make a great Easter card. I used the Sketch over at {Freshly Made} Sketches and also decided to enter the Challenge at The Perfect Sentiment Challenge 26 - create an Easter card with a little "Bling" added.
I had a scrap of yellow gingham paper that I used as the base. I then added Close to My Heart papersfrom the retired pack Caboodle. I had some "crazy" ribbon also from CtMHwith pink, blue and green "stripes" Seemed perfect for this card. The image is colored in with Copics. The sentiment is CtMH stamped in Hollyhock. For bling, I added a white sheer bow with a rhinstone at the center.

...and they lived happily ever after
It's Wednesday - I LOVE Wednesday!! Half way to the weekend and the new Sketch Challenge is posted at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. The Sponsor this week is Sassy Cheryl's . I had never been to her site before today and I must say I will be returning - OFTEN!!! I love the images!! I am also entering this Card in the Sassy Cheryl's Digi Stamps Challenge. This week their Challenge #109 is to use soft pastels. So, I chose an image which I love - Sassy Sally reading to her Teddy Bear. I colored her in with Water Color Pencils. I used papers from my stash and found the perfect sentiment on a retired Close to My Heart set. I used Sweet Leaf ink to stamp the sentiment and ink the edges of the white card stock. I also found a piece of ribbon to match and topped it off with a lavender button. A piece of lacy ribbon at the base of the CS finishes off the embellishments. The image is attached with Pop Dots.
