Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2

Hi friends!!  Here it is Wednesday again and that means it's time for a new Sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2!!  This week we have one of our favorite Sponsors - Sally-Ann of Digi Stamp Boutique!!  Sally-Ann has been very busy creating and has a lot of new Releases - be sure to stop on over and visit her shop!!  I just adore the set I chose to work with - Sweet Birdie Set.

So many ways to work the lattice background...  Design Papers, Ribbon, twine...  I hope you will give the Sketch a try - I always love to see how everyone interprets the Sketch!!

Here is my card - I used Design Papers and created the flowers using a Tim Holtz Die.

I created this card for my sister whose Birthday was yesterday - she LOVES the birds and has a little feeding area right outside her porch where she can sit and knit and watch the birds (and turkeys...).

Summertime and the Livin' is Easy!! FBD Blog Hop!!

Last month we welcomed in Spring, 

but this month we are moving on into summer!

Sand in our toes, the smell of salty air, late evening walks, sticky, Popsicle covered faces, mosquitoes...

Yes, it is almost here. 

And we are SO EXCITED!!!

Here is a card I created featuring one of Heather's newest digital stamps called...

Granny with Float - and she sure looks like she is having a grand old time!!

In't she just a hoot??  I colored her up with my Copics and fussy cut her out then mounted her with pop dots.  The papers and flowers are from my stash and the sentiment is Close to My Heart.

Fresh Brewed Designs Choose Your Challenge!!

It's Wednesday and it's time for a new Choose Your Challenge over at Fresh Brewed Designs!!  I love this Challenge - you can either follow the Sketch or gather your inspiration from the photo OR BOTH!!  That is exactly what I did!!  Those of you who know me know that I LOVE a great Sketch - and this is a GREAT Sketch!!

I also love to take a photo and draw certain elements from it to incorporate into my design.  I just LOVE the photo this Challenge.  I love the colors and the patterns and I am a HUGE fan of polka dots!!







I couldn't wait to get creating for this Challenge.

Heather is always coming out with new images and last month she released the stamp I chose to use "Lovely Dancer"  I also flipped the Sketch on it's side and here are my results...

A certain someone I know has a beautiful white dress she will be dancing in soon, so along with the Sketch and the Photo, she was also my inspiration =)
