Hey There...

Hey There Friends...  Still on vacation, but, I stopped back home this morning before church to make a card for a "Tweener"...  So many of the images I have are a bit too young, but I did come across this awesome image from Birdie Brown that I think is just perfect for that age!!

I used the Sketch from this week's Challenge over at Sketch Saturday.  The papers are from My Mind's Eye - Tangerine!!  I colored the image with my Copics and added some Twine from my stash.  The sentiment is Paper Smooches.  Inside, of course it says Happy Birthday!!

It's Wednesday!!

Happy Wednesday friends!!  I hope you are having a great week!! My husband and I are spending a few weeks at our family Beach House on Cape Cod.  The evenings are getting a bit cooler (which I LOVE) and the days are warm.  I've been thinking about how our family is growing, a son-in-law last weekend and a Grandson due to arrive in January.  I've got babies on my mind and decided to use this adorable image from our faithful Sponsor - Sally Ann Hancock of Digi Stamp Boutique!!  We appreciate her so much!!  Head on over to check our her images, this week's Winner will receive 6 Free images!!  Very cool!!

Scrap It with Tuesday Throwdown

Hi friends - This week at Tuesday Throwdown the Challenge is Scrap It.  You guessed it, use those scraps that you have on your craft table, in a box, wherever it is you keep them and create!!  I chose some food related scraps that I had leftover from the paper pad they came in.  The perfect scraps for Chef Luigi!!  The only problem with my card is I am now craving cake... =)  We are leaving for vacation tomorrow at our families Beach House, perhaps one of these cool nights I just might have to bake a cake...

A Wedding Card

Quick post this morning of the Wedding Card I made for my daughter and son-in-law!!  I used a SSW Sketch from a few week's back, a sweet Lili of the Valley stamp, some fun papers from a new 12 x 12 pad I bought, organza ribbon and some silky flowers from my stash.  The stamp is colored with Copics and embellished with some sparkly liquid shimmer from Close to My Heart.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 219

Hi there friends!!  My daughter was married this past Saturday...
What a busy but wonderful time!!  She married her childhood Sweetheart.  They are both now Gymnastics Coaches and met when they were 10 and 11 when Laura started attending the Gymnastics Club that Chad had been attending.  They started out as friends...  then dated... went to all of their Proms together, and are now Mr. and Mrs.  There were some bumps along the road, and a few years apart, but you can't deny true love.



 There was so much love all around!!  The day was extra special as it was my Mother's Birthday.  She is in Heaven, but I can't help but picture her (and my Dad) with huge smiles watching their Laura get married...
Love.

Now, on to my card for the latest Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge. I must apologize...  I did make the card the morning of the Wedding, and I guess I was a bit distracted...  I missed the embellishments at the bottom right of the Sketch, and I even created the Sketch...  oh well, guess I was suffering from Mother Of the Bride syndrome...  hmmm...

Welcome Baby!!

Don't Be Square!!

Hey there friends!!  Posting my DT card for the new Challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown.  We are Sponsored by Robyn's Fetish and our Challenge is "Don't Be Square"...   What does that mean you ask?

NO SQUARE OR RECTANGULAR CARDS!!  Now for me, that was a Challenge.  I pretty much stick with the square and rectangular cards...  So, I had to get my thinking cap on.


                                        

I chose this Kewl Kat image - Too cool to be square ;-) Took a piece of Kraft CS, folded it in half and the Jumbo Hexagon shape from Creative Memories Custom Cutting System.  The papers and twine are from my stash.

Happy Birthday!!, times 3...

SO, every month my church puts out a Birthday list with every one's special day listed (at least those we know about ;-).  Well, this week there are three birthdays, so, I found some fun summery papers in my stash and made three cards this morning.  Quick and easy, no Challenge involved, just fun cards!!  I love to check Michael's $1 bin for card bases.  I found this base a few months ago and it works up so nicely when time is an issue (you can't beat the cost either)!!  I added two layers of ribbon for some texture and knotted a quick "bow" for some added interest.  Inside I used a simple Happy Birthday stamp - easy peasy!!

 

Now I best get ready to head to church!!
