33 years later...

Saturday was my Anniversary.  My husband Joe and I were married 33 years ago.  Where does the time go?!?!?  Earlier last week this cute little picture was on my daily Mary Engelbreit calendar.  The bride even has red hair.  I cut it out and decided to use it on my husband's Anniversary card.  I used the Sketch over at Sketch Saturday.  The papers are from My Mind's Eye and Pink CS from my scrap pile.  I used a scalloped border punch from Fiskars and a bit of bling from Close to My Heart.  I kept it Plain and Simple to keep it from being too feminine ;-)

Got Cake??

Another Birthday Card needed...  Tonight I used the Sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  Love their sketches!!  Great sketches to showcase favorite papers =)  Tonight I used paper from My Mind's Eye Six by Six - Vanity Fair.  I used a favorite retired stamp set of mine from Close to My Heart Piece of Cake.  I used Memento Black Tuxedo Ink and colored it in with Copics.  I cut the image out and mounted it with Pop Dots.  Some Baker's Twine, a happy Raspberry button from my stash and a Happy Birthday "ticket" finish off the embellishments.

You Are My Sunshine

Tonight I made a card for two Challenges.  The Saturated Canary - Black & White + One!! and {Freshly Made} Sketches.  I used one of the Freebie images and chose Yellow as my + One!!
The Black papers are from My Mind's Eye - Meadow Lark 6x6 paper pad.  The yellow polka dot paper is from my stash.  The black ribbon and the sparkle - GLITZ Stardust glitter gel are both Close to My Heart.  The Sentiment is from LORi Boyd.  The image is colored with Copics.  I fussy cut her out and mounted her with Pop Dots.

Wedding Wishes!!

Today I created a Wedding Card using the sketch at Sketch Saturday.  I am also entering this card in the Challenge over at Word Art Wednesday.  The Sketch was perfect for the sentiment I wanted to use.  1 Corinthians 13:4-8.  I used papers from the 6x6 Designer Pad from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found - Blush.  The sentiment is computer generated.  I also used Opaques from Close to My Heart on both the card and the envelope and flowers from Recollections on the envelope.  The sentiment inside the card is from Verve.  Bob and Patty's Wedding was today and the weather was perfect!

Happy Birthday Sophie!!

Sophie is the cutest little girl at my church - she is turning 6 and is SO EXCITED about her birthday next week!!  Last night I made her this card - so Sophie!!  The image is from Lili of the Valley.  I used the Sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday and some beautiful DP from Cosmo Cricket (part of my Taylored Expressions July Kit that arrived yesterday!!).  The flowers are Recollections and the ribbon is from my stash.

Big Birthday Wishes!!

Last night I made a card for a young "Tween" at my church.  I used a cute image from Saturated Canary - their Challenge this week is to add a bit of bling. I used the Sketch from Sketch Saturday.  I'm entering this card in both Challenges. 

I love this Sketch - perfect for adding "Bling"!!  The papers are from my stash (love using those scraps =).  The image is colored with Copics and then fussy cut and mounted with Pop Dots.  The chip board hearts are daubed with Petal Ink and then hi-lited with Add Glitz Glitter Gel - all Close to My Heart.  The "jewels" are also CtMH.

Birthday Girl!!

Last night I made a card based on the Sketch over at Sketch Saturday.  For those of you who have read my last few posts - this is the card I am sending to Mahalia... ;)  the image is from Mo Manning - Mo's Digital Pencil.  I colored her in with my Copics and then fussy cut her out.  The papers are from my stash.  I used Baker's Twine and clear buttons (CtMH) and the sentiment Birthday Girl from LoTV.

I purchased this cute little image from Mo's Digital Pencil.  Reminds me of my friend's grandson who LoVeS to blow bubbles!!  I used the sketch from Retro Sketches.  The papers are from my stash...  The clear buttons are from Close to My Heart tied with Baker's Twine.  The image is colored with Copics and fussy cut then mounted with Pop Dots. Deuteronomy 6:5

Tonight I made a card for my son.  He is the Pastor of LifeSong New England.  I am so proud of him.  LifeSong is in it's third year.  It's beginnings were a dream of the Senior Pastor of Rockland Baptist and 6 of the Young Adults who had been in Youth Group together and had been singing Worship Music as "Steadfast"...  My son is 24, and I am seeing how God is blessing LifeSong through his willingness to serve.  We have been doing a sermon series based on the movie Courageous.  Last Sunday's sermon's key verse was Deuteronomy 6:5.  Well, I love how God has a sense of humor...  I was looking at some of the Challenges for this week and Word Art Wednesday had that very same verse for this week.  God is such a personal God!!

The DP is from My Mind's Eye Stella Rose - Mabel Papers.  The ribbon is from my stash.  The buttons are CtMH tied with embroidery floss.  I'm entering this card in the following Challenges:

Happy Birthday Mahalia!!

One of my "Great" Nieces birthday's is coming up - Mahalia!!  She will be 6!!   Last night I made her a card using the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  She has been dancing the last few years - and this year she had a beautiful bright pink tutu!!  So, I thought this image from Mo's Digital Pencil was perfect - after all, shat little dancing girl does not love cup cakes?!?!?  I am also entering this card in Mo's Anything Goes Challenge.

I used paper from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found - Madison Avenue.  The image is colored with Copics and fussy cut out.  I added some Stardust Glitz and pearls (Close to My Heart) and ribbon from my stash.  The sentiment is LoTV.

15th Birthday!!

I share my birthday with my neighbor Fax!  Today he is 15!  I saw him a few days ago and he yelled across the street "it's almost our birthday Sally - you'll be 55!!"...  Yup, we are 40 years apart!!  Last night I made him a card.  I found a "new to me" Sketch Challenge Sketch N Stash.  I used papers from My Mind's Eye Fine and Dandy - BOY.  The CS (and brads) are Chocolate from Close to My Heart.  The image is from Melonheadz.

The DP is from Authentique - Fresh.  The image is LoTV such a cute little girl rushing to get the cake to the party!!  I colored her in with Copics and then fussy cut her out.  The Bakers Twine is from The Twinery and the button is from my stash.  I added some Liquid Ice to the icing on the cake and some glittery gel hi-lights.  The sentiment on the inside is Happy Birthday from Verve.

Happy Birthday USA!!  This morning I made a quick masculine card.  I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.  The DP is from lilybeedesigns Double Dutch 6x6 Tiny Tablet.  The sentiment stamp is from Verve stamped with Close to My Heart Star Spangled Blue.  The buttons tied with white embroidery floss are also CtMH. 

I am entering this card in the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge and Perfect Sentiment Anything Goes with Red, White & Blue Challenge.

CPS Challenge 272

I need a few masculine birthday cards in the next few weeks so this morning, I decided to get going on them.  I used the sketch from Card Positioning Systems Challenge this week along with my "Go To" Verve Stamps set - Wishing You... a very Happy Birthday!  The DP is My Mind's Eye Stella Rose - Nattie Papers 6x6 pad.  I used Tim Holtz Distressed Ink to distress the edges.  The wide striped ribbon and wooden button are from Close to My Heart.  The crocheted ribbon is from Recollections.

This morning I made a card based on the Inspiration picture over at The Pink Elephant Challenge.  I have had this image by LORi Boyd for some time and thought this was the perfect inspiration to send me to grab this image and get coloring.  I used my Copics and fussy cut the image and mounted it with Pop Dots.  The card stock and DP is from my stash.
