Sweet Sketch Wednesday & Dearie Dolls!!

Welcome Sweet Sketch Wednesday!!  Today we have a new Sponsor - Dearie Dolls.  You must check out their site where everyone wins...  How can that be you ask...  All images are FREE!!  Here is a little bit about Mary Ellen of Dearie Dolls...

I have always been a crafter and a stay at home mom that was able to make enough on handmades to help out and still be there for my kids who are all grown now. I have six grandchildren ranging in age from six months up to ten years. I started to draw digis about a year and a half ago. I like to write poetry and have illustrated some of my children's poems.
My digi blog is a place for card makers and others to download free images. I like to tell a little story with most digis and feel that the innocence of children is full of color, imagination and humor and so most of my artwork is a reflection of that. I truly hope that everyone that visits can find something useful and fun.

So, I wanted to share a little bit about one of my favorite places to visit - Nantucket.  They have an Annual Daffodil Festival at the end of April.  The island is full of daffodils!!  The storefronts, restaurants, cottages, street lamps... are all decked out with Daffs!!  I've had the pleasure of going to Nantucket on several occasions for that weekend and just love it.  We stay in a lovely old Inn and enjoy the island and all the festivities.
Brant Point Lighthouse
Welcoming Dining Room - LOVE
Everyone wears Yellow!!
Even the Dogs get in on the fun!

Daffy Hats all around...

Antique Car/Truck Parade!!
So, the memories of the Daffodil Festival are what inspired my card this week.  I chose a sweet image of a girl painting Daffodils - Love it!!

Here is this week's Sketch...

And here is my card...

I hope you will visit Mary Ellen's site, leave her some love and perhaps use one of her FREE images for your card this week - I know that would Bless her immensely!!

I'm also entering this card in the Make-it-Monday Anything Goes Challenge =)

I'm so excited to see your creations this week - Have fun!!

Blessings to you all!!

Lace and Doilies!!

Happy Tuesday!!  We are having a wonderful Challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown...  This week our Challenge #137 is "Lace & Doilies"!!  Whenever I see doilies, I think of my Mom and all the "Church ladies" from my childhood years.  They always used doilies under there baked cookies, cakes, squares and even their fancy little sandwiches they would bring to Church events.  I think I need to make an effort to bring back the doily...  hmmm...

Back to the Challenge...  Our Sponsor this week is Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps and More

This week's winner will be awarded FIVE free digital stamps from Robyn's Fetish!!

I have used the image "Tea for Two".  I cut the doily in half and mounted it on each side, added a strip of pink lace from Recollections topped off with some white ribbon tied off in a bow.

I do hope you will stop by our Blog and check out the rest of the Design Team's cards for some inspiration, and then... break out your Lace & Doilies and join in on the fun!!

Blessings to you all!!
