Sketch Saturday

Quick post tonight of a Birthday card I created for a sweet little girl who is turning 4...  She LOVES horses!!
I chose to use the Sketch from Sketch Saturday which was perfect for this Lili of the Valley stamp.  I love their sweet stamps!!  I stamped it with Memento Black Tuxedo ink and colored it in with Copics.  The papers are from a retired Close to My Heart Valentine pack.  The black gingham ribbon is from my stash.

Feel Better Soon

Quick card tonight for a friend who is hospitalized.  I was so excited when I saw the Sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches this week.  I just got a new Die from Taylored Expressions and it's the perfect Die for this card!!  I also used a stamp I have had from Smooches - simply said - Get Well Soon, stamped with "Ocean" from Close to My Heart.  The papers are from Authentique - Essentials 6 x 6 Pad.  I added brown and yellow ribbon from my stash.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday!!

It's Wednesday friends!!  Sweet Sketch Wednesday!!  How is your January going??  I have to say that I am NOT HAPPY it's already the middle of the month...  I am SO BEHIND at work, still stuck in 2012, and when you are in accounting, that is not a good thing...  Hopefully today will be the day I join the rest of the world and bring my books into 2013...  Wish me well!!

Quick post for a Birthday Card I made over the weekend.  I happened upon Sunday Sketch & Stamp while Blog Hopping, and thought I would use their Sketch...

I used a favorite stamp from Sassy Cheryl of Sassy Sally celebrating!!  The papers are from my Scrap pile.  The image is colored with copics and I added some ribbon, glimmer and jewels...

I am also entering this card in the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge - Keep it Clean!

Sketch Saturday

Hi there Sketchy Friends!!  Today I made a card for a boy turning 8.  This little guy has been playing football for a few years, so this image from MelJen's makes up the perfect card for him.

I used papers from Authentique, colored the image with my Copics and distressed the edges with scissors.  The ribbon is from my stash.

Welcome Wednesday!!

Happy New Year!!  I hope you all had a safe and Happy New Year celebration.  Have any of you made any Crafty New Year's Resolutions?  I have to say there is something about the start of a new year...  It is just another day, but turning the page on the calendar and seeing that "NewYear", 2013 is cause for inspiration.  One of my goals is to get started scrapping favorite photos for my kids from their early years...  another goal is to read the Bible in a year.  There is a small group at my Church that will be taking on that Challenge!

I do look forward each week to a new Challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday!  I have been able to create some Sketches for the Challenges in order to help Arlana while she is off the computer for a time while dealing with some wrist issues.  This week's Challenge is one of my sketches.

My card features the Ladybug Teapot.  I am giving this card to a lady who is celebrating her 98th Birthday this week.  She is one amazing lady who is such an inspiration.  She is always Joyful!!

The papers are from My Mind's Eye and the ribbon from my stash.  The image is colored with Copics, then cut out and mounted with Pop Dots.  I used a paper Doily and added some Opaque Pearls.
