It's Wednesday!!

Happy Wednesday friends!!  I hope you are having a great week!! My husband and I are spending a few weeks at our family Beach House on Cape Cod.  The evenings are getting a bit cooler (which I LOVE) and the days are warm.  I've been thinking about how our family is growing, a son-in-law last weekend and a Grandson due to arrive in January.  I've got babies on my mind and decided to use this adorable image from our faithful Sponsor - Sally Ann Hancock of Digi Stamp Boutique!!  We appreciate her so much!!  Head on over to check our her images, this week's Winner will receive 6 Free images!!  Very cool!!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 219

Hi there friends!!  My daughter was married this past Saturday...
What a busy but wonderful time!!  She married her childhood Sweetheart.  They are both now Gymnastics Coaches and met when they were 10 and 11 when Laura started attending the Gymnastics Club that Chad had been attending.  They started out as friends...  then dated... went to all of their Proms together, and are now Mr. and Mrs.  There were some bumps along the road, and a few years apart, but you can't deny true love.



 There was so much love all around!!  The day was extra special as it was my Mother's Birthday.  She is in Heaven, but I can't help but picture her (and my Dad) with huge smiles watching their Laura get married...
Love.

Now, on to my card for the latest Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge. I must apologize...  I did make the card the morning of the Wedding, and I guess I was a bit distracted...  I missed the embellishments at the bottom right of the Sketch, and I even created the Sketch...  oh well, guess I was suffering from Mother Of the Bride syndrome...  hmmm...

Welcome Baby!!

It's Wednesday!!!

Welcome my Wednesday friends - time for a new Challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday!!  But first I have some news I am so excited to finally be able to share...  I am going to be a Grandma - YaY!!  My first Grandchild is due mid January - how awesome is that??  Such an exciting time for my family!!  My daughter's Wedding is in less than 2 weeks, and now my Son and Daughter-in-law are expecting.  My son was Best Man in a friends Wedding this past Saturday.  Here is a picture of Scott and his wife Marisa - So sweet!!  In the midst of all the excitement, my husband and I celebrated our 34th Wedding Anniversary.  God is soo good!!

Wednesday again and that means it's time for a new Challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday!!  This week our Sketch is a blast from the past created by Arlana!!

"My name is Jacqueline Mathews and I am a crafter and designer.  I love paper, pens, doodling, stamping and above all designing.  I have a degree in fine arts with an emphasis in graphic design.  I worked in the graphic design industry for many years and quit 15 years ago to become a stay at home mom for my 3 kids.  Now that the kids are older and don’t need me as much, I am reinventing myself and have decided that I wanted to create my own line of digital stamps.  I have dabbled in rubber stamping and became a “Stampin’ up!” demonstrator and had a blast, but thought it would be more fun to create my own stamps.  I decided digital was the way to go.  It is affordable for the customer and for the designer.  I now have a digital stamp shop on Etsy called “PaperAddictions”.  I would love to create my own line of rubber stamps someday, but for now I am testing my designs out in my shop to see if anyone likes them.  I am pleasantly surprised that I have gotten a good response to the images I have designed so far.  This positive response has motivated me to create more images in the future."

Happy, Happy Wednesday friends!!  Time for a new Sketch Challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  This week our Sponsor is A DAY FOR DAISIES!!  I just love their images.  Check them out - definitely an image for every occasion.  The are all so very sweet!!  This week, I chose to use "Warm Breeze".  I spent so many breezy days on Cape Cod as a child flying kites - such sweet memories...

I kept it simple and used a sheet of buttery yellow card stock and a soft green DP from my stash.  The button brads, twine and ribbons are also from my stash.  The sentiment is Lili of the Valley.  My two favorite colors are green and yellow - this card just makes me smile.

You may know this, I LOVE ELEPHANTS!!  So, I chose this fun image Edward Springtime.

I added a Sentiment from one of my many Pure Innocence Stamps.  The papers are from my stash and the flowers are cut with a die from Taylored Expressions.  I added white sequins to the center of the flowers.  Found those in my stash of Beading supplies =)

Welcome Wednesday!!

It's Wednesday once again!!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I so enjoyed my family's Father's Day gathering and thought I'd share a few pictures...  I think there were 57 of us this year.  The "oldest" being my Aunt Grace (I'll keep her age a secret ;-) and the youngest my Great Niece Micaela Grace, just 4 weeks old.  Sweet picture of the two of them...  Lots of time was spent at the Beach Front -I love this picture on the Beach Wall.  Father's Day is a time when many reconnect and share what is going on in their lives, and a time for siblings to gather as distance keeps them apart more than they would like.    .

                   

A tradition for more than 30 years is a picture on the porch steps of the Next Generation of "Smiths".  This pic is of my parents Great Grandchildren - oh how they would enjoy them...       

I'm still waiting for my Grandchildren to come along and join in this Father's Day tradition!!

Hi there friends - Happy Wednesday!!  As I write this post I can hear the rain coming down...  a sound I do love to hear.  It's been raining most of yesterday and today so, I do think we are destined to have a wonderful weekend for Father's Day, at least that's my wish...!
