Tuesday Morning Sketches #147

I realized today that it's my friend Cathy's husbands birthday this Saturday, so...  time to make him a birthday card.  I go up and visit so I thought that Sassy Cheryl's image sitting on the steps waving was a great image to use =)  I'm using the Sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

I colored the image in with Copics.  The papers are from the Simple Stores 6x6 Paper Pad - Fabulous.  The buttons are Close to My Heart and the ribbon is from my stash.  I cut out the image and mounted it with Pop Dots.  The stamp Hi! and inside Happy Birthday are CtMH.

Happy Birthday Larry!!Thanks for visiting!!

Happy Birthday Sister Sue!!

Tomorrow is my sister's birthday.  So, I of course had to make her a card.  She has a beautiful yard complete with a bird bath.  So, I thought this image from Sassy Cheryl's Digi Shop was just the right fit for her card!!  I wanted to do the Challenge over at Runway Inspired Challenge Blog.  I thought this image was just right for that Challenge.  The shape of the birds reminded me of the pattern in the material of the dress.  I colored the image with Copics using bright orange and blue along with neutrals...  I love the way it turned out.  The papers are from a new Paper Pad I recently picked up - Authentique 6x6 Bundle "Fresh".  I especially like the "Parkay" flooring paper - reminds me of a Runway...  I finished the card off with three thin satiny ribbons.  I used the Sketch from {Freshly Made) Sketches.  I am also entering this card in the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog which is "anything but square".
Thanks so much for visiting!!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday!!

I haven't been able to get to my Craft Room since Saturday night...  I made up for it tonight with 2 cards =)  The first is for the Challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  Yesterday was my nieces birthday - late, but she was in Chicago... so, it will have to do!!  I used one of the Images from Sassy Cheryl's Digis - I love her characters!!  I colored her in with Copic Markers.  The papers are from Sun Kiss Collection and s.e.i Vanilla Sunshine both 6" x 6" pads.  The sentiment is from Verve, the flowers and brads are Close to My Heart and the ribbon from a bin at the local Michael's...

"Sassy Sally"

Next it was time to take on the sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  I used on of the images from Sassy Cheryl's Digi Stamps and am entering this card in their Challenge as well.  I love this little girl "Sassy Sally" with the Lady Bug - so cute!!  I colored her in with Copic Markers and mounted her (and her little friend) with Pop Dots.  I chose a purple polka dot CS I had along with a solid soft green CS.  I also used a soft green polka dot ribbon.  Yje sentiment - a simple Hi! is from Close to My Heart.

Enjoy your weekend!!!

...and they lived happily ever after

It's Wednesday - I LOVE Wednesday!!  Half way to the weekend and the new Sketch Challenge is posted at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  The Sponsor this week is Sassy Cheryl's .  I had never been to her site before today and I must say I will be returning - OFTEN!!!  I love the images!!  I am also entering this Card in the Sassy Cheryl's Digi Stamps Challenge.  This week their Challenge #109 is to use soft pastels.  So, I chose an image which I love - Sassy Sally reading to her Teddy Bear.  I colored her in with Water Color Pencils.  I used papers from my stash and found the perfect sentiment on a retired Close to My Heart set.  I used Sweet Leaf ink to stamp the sentiment and ink the edges of the white card stock.  I also found a piece of ribbon to match and topped it off with a lavender button.  A piece of lacy ribbon at the base of the CS finishes off the embellishments.  The image is attached with Pop Dots.
