Sweet Sketch Wednesday is Here!!!

Hi friends - it's Wednesday - Wednesday this week has brought a bit of a cold spell to the North East.  It's been a winter that has been a bit mild so the temps in the teens seem EXTRA cold!!  Thankfully I don't mind the cold, I actually love the cold crisp air!!  But tonight I am a bit chilled...  As I type this Blog post my two Boxers are snuggled up on my bed with me and I am thankful for the warmth they are sharing!!!

Wednesday also means it's time for a new Sketch Challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday!!  This week  our Sponsor is new one....         Floppy Latte!!
Here is a little bit about Floppy Latte:
Hi. I'm jessica (or FLOPPY) of FLOPPY LATTE DESIGNS. I design digital stamps and papers, and also rework old woodcuts and drawings and put them into digital stamp form.. and i'm stef (or GLITTERBABE) as i'm known in blogland. I also design digital stamps but not quite as intricately as FLOPPY does. Together we're the LATTE LADIES, or better known as FLOPPY LATTE DESIGNS. Jess is the more serious one and stef is the clown – always trying to make people laugh. ok. So she likes the limelight. Keeps me (jess) in the background creating. Together we offer a variety of stamping and scrapbooking images and items reaching out to everyone's tastes (so we think). Do drop by FLOPPY LATTE DESIGNS ( ) and have a look around. We are sure you'll see something you like and we guarantee it'll put a smile on your face!

AND Jessica and Stef have given a  $10 Gift Certificate  to this weeks winner!!  Yay!!

Here is the Sketch:

And, here is my card...

So excited to see your creations this week...   ENJOY!!

Blessings to you!!

I chose to use the Sketch from Sketch Saturday which was perfect for this Lili of the Valley stamp.  I love their sweet stamps!!  I stamped it with Memento Black Tuxedo ink and colored it in with Copics.  The papers are from a retired Close to My Heart Valentine pack.  The black gingham ribbon is from my stash.

Thanks so much for visiting!!  It is way later than I should be up and I am sure I will be paying for it when the alarm goes off...

Hi there Sketchy Friends!!  Today I made a card for a boy turning 8.  This little guy has been playing football for a few years, so this image from MelJen's makes up the perfect card for him.

I used papers from Authentique, colored the image with my Copics and distressed the edges with scissors.  The ribbon is from my stash.

And here's the Sketch from this week's Sketch Saturday Challenge.

Welcome Wednesday!!

Happy New Year!!  I hope you all had a safe and Happy New Year celebration.  Have any of you made any Crafty New Year's Resolutions?  I have to say there is something about the start of a new year...  It is just another day, but turning the page on the calendar and seeing that "NewYear", 2013 is cause for inspiration.  One of my goals is to get started scrapping favorite photos for my kids from their early years...  another goal is to read the Bible in a year.  There is a small group at my Church that will be taking on that Challenge!

I do look forward each week to a new Challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday!  I have been able to create some Sketches for the Challenges in order to help Arlana while she is off the computer for a time while dealing with some wrist issues.  This week's Challenge is one of my sketches.

And, we have Fresh Brewed Designs - Heather Dennis - as our Sponsor!!  I really enjoy her images and her Blog as I too am a COFFEE LOVER!!  Here is a little about Heather:

I am Heather Dennis, the artist and owner of Fresh Brewed Designs, but first and foremost I am the wife of one amazing husband, mother of two sweet and talented kids. I homeschool and LOVE coffee, creating and chatting with my friends. Fresh Brewed Designs is an online shop that opened in November 2010. We sell a wide variety of rubber and digital stamps as well as specializing in many coffee themed images.

It started with a dream and turned into something bigger. With the prodding of a very supportive husband, family and friends, with a lot of help and a lot of headaches:) and a lot of lessons and prayers....Fresh Brewed Designs has become a place to share, create, laugh and build lasting friendships.

Our motto: Fresh Brewed Designs... where creativity is brewed fresh daily.

We always have a pot brewing, so stop by and join us for a cuppa whenever you want!!!

Prize:  3 digis of your choice

FYI - Fresh Brewed Designs is having an "Anything Goes Challenge" for the month of January - Check it out =)

My card features the Ladybug Teapot.  I am giving this card to a lady who is celebrating her 98th Birthday this week.  She is one amazing lady who is such an inspiration.  She is always Joyful!!
The papers are from My Mind's Eye and the ribbon from my stash.  The image is colored with Copics, then cut out and mounted with Pop Dots.  I used a paper Doily and added some Opaque Pearls.

Blessings to you all!!
